Director and Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Board Certified Diplomate
Glory is a warm, caring, and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Diplomate. She has worked in private practice in Bloomingdale and Naperville, Illinois, and Coral Springs, Florida, for over 18 years with individuals, couples, families, groups, as well as with children, teens, young adults and older adults. In addition, she worked for four (4) years with children and teens as a School Social Worker at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

Glory received her Masters in Social Work (MSW), Clinical Track, from the University of Illinois, Jane Addams College of Social Work, in 1983. Her second year Internship was in Marriage & Family Counseling with live video supervision. The focus of the training was in structural, developmental, behavioral, and strategic change to strengthen hierarchical roles and improve communication patterns in order to meet the needs of the family, the couple or the individual. Her first year internship was in Drug & Alcohol Counseling at Riversedge Hospital.

Glory completed a one-year Post Graduate Internship Program in School Social Work at George Williams College working at Glenbard West High School.

She completed a two-year post-graduate internship program with Advanced Certification in Heart-Centered Hypno-Behavioral Therapy and Breath Release from the Wellness Institute in Seattle, Washington. The focus was on using relaxation (hypnotherapy) and energy release work to access and heal our wounded child within. The model helps us to discover and use hidden resources (strengths) and positive affirmations to heal extreme parts of ourselves that once helped us to cope as a child, i.e. pleasing others, workaholism, drugs, anger.

She also has state-of-the-art, post graduate training in Breath Release work with Carol Lampman. Breath Release is another state-of-the-art therapy which utilizes the breath to access and heal unconscious energy blocks in the body, mind, and spirit. Glory also trained with Dr. Richard Schwartz at the University of Illinois Juvenile Research Center and at Northwestern University in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model which is a brief, dynamic, collaborative, and respectful approach that relies on the client’s intuitive wisdom and innate healing power

In addition, Glory completed (30 hours) training in sexual abuse at the YWCA in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, as well as over 200 hours of continuing education coursework in sexual abuse. She has also facilitated groups for Women Molested as Children and groups for Partner’s of Sexual Abuse Survivors. In addition, Glory had two years’ supervision and training in group work with sex offenders under Arturo Hurtado, LCSW, from the Chicago Group.

Glory is trained and certified in administering and facilitating the Prepare/Enrich Programs. This is a highly valid (80-85%) assessment inventory of a couple’s strengths and growth areas. Upon completion of the Personal and Relationship Evaluation, the couple meets for 4-6 sessions to go over the results and learn useful communication and conflict resolution skills as well as explore family of origin issues, couple goals, and financial plans/budgeting. It can be extremely beneficial for pre-marital couples as well as cohabitating and married couples.

Glory is dedicated to strengthening and enriching marriages through education, skill-building, and communication skills. She is passionate about her work with families and is empathic to the challenges facing divorced and blended families. Glory loves working with kids of all ages. With an open heart, intuitive listening, and the wisdom that comes from living, Glory creates safe space for her clients to share their stories, face their fears, and follow their dreams. Her respectful and insightful questioning allows the client to find solutions and resources they never knew they had.

Glory is dedicated to her own personal and family growth and well-being. She is enthusiastic about her work and on-going training, and nourishes her own soul thorough prayer, meditation, rollerblading, gardening, and yoga.
